What are Fidget Rings / Anxiety Rings?

Fidget rings are handcrafted jewelry designed to help people manage stress, anxiety, and nervous behavior. They often have moving elements that can be calming. By playing or rotating the glass beads, people can distract their attention from unpleasant thoughts or the urge to pick/pick/chew their fingernails.

It's best to wear the ring on your index finger, as this is the most comfortable position to play with the beads and distract yourself when you're nervous.

How does an anxiety ring / anti-stress ring work?

If you feel restless, tense or nervous inside, you can play with the moving beads that provide tactile stimulation to your fingers. These can help to release pent-up tension in moments of unrest. You can find a detailed description of how to use it here: How do I use the Fidget Ring?

It is best to wear the ring on your index finger, as this is the most comfortable position to play with the pearls and distract yourself when you are nervous

Can Fidget Rings / Anxiety Rings / Anti Stress Rings also help children?

Anti stress rings can be a helpful option for children, provided there is no risk of choking. Some parents have already ordered fidget rings for their children from us and report positive experiences.

There are currently no specific studies on the effectiveness of fidget rings for children. Science shows that a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approaches can help. Fidget rings can play a complementary role and what works best may vary from child to child. It is advisable to try different methods to find out which works best.

Materials

Are the anti-stress rings waterproof?

The silver-colored rings are made of stainless steel and are water-resistant. Stainless steel is known for its resistance to rust and discoloration. These rings can be worn while washing hands, showering, and swimming.

The gold-colored rings consist of a brass core with a particularly thick gold plating, unless otherwise stated. The durability of the gold plating depends on wear and tear and can wear off over time. This natural process cannot be prevented. In this case, you can re-gild your ring ( refresh the gold plating ). For long-lasting gold-colored rings, I recommend 14ct gold, which is in the higher price segment, around €300-€400.

Are the rings nickel-free?

All rings at Crafty Care meet the requirements of the EU REACH regulation, which ensures that the materials used do not contain any harmful substances. So you can wear your rings worry-free!

Why is stainless steel used and not silver?

Why is gold-plated brass used?

Gold-plated brass offers a similar visual effect to 14k gold, but is a more cost-effective alternative. Rings made of 14k gold are in the higher price range, around €300 to €400.

Brass sometimes reacts with moisture, such as sweat, and can leave a dark discoloration on the skin. This reaction is completely natural and harmless. The discoloration can be easily removed with soap and water.

I understand that gold-plated brass rings may not be ideal for some people. In this case, I recommend the Moon , Forest , and Planet Fidget Ring models. These are made with a stainless steel core that won't stain. For long-lasting gold-colored rings, 14k gold is a great choice, but it's in the higher price range (approximately €300-€400). I'd be happy to make a custom-made ring for you—just contact me at hi[at]craftycare.de.

Why does the number of beads on the fidget rings vary?

The number of beads varies between 5 and 10, although 10 are typically used. This slight variation is due to the artisanal manufacturing process, during which it sometimes happens that a glass bead is accidentally struck.

Crafty Care is a passion project born out of personal experience. At Crafty Care, there are no "perfect" rings—just rings that are hand-forged in a resource-saving way.

If you prefer fewer beads, you can gently break a bead with a hard object like a cup if necessary. This way, you can adjust the number to your personal preference.

What are the pearls made of?

Glass beads are used primarily for the delicate design. The silver-colored beads are made of stainless steel and are best if you're looking for something more robust.

Material and Care

How do I care for my anti-stress ring?

Rings in the color silver are made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is known for its resistance to rust and discoloration. Stainless steel rings are waterproof. You can wear them while washing your hands, showering and swimming.

Rings in Gold consist of a brass core that I have gold-plated with a thick layer, unless otherwise stated. The durability of the gold coating depends on how it is worn, among other things.

💛 The intensive movement of the beads creates mechanical friction, which can rub off the gold coating. Roll the beads gently from top to bottom.
💧 Avoid contact with chemicals and take off the ring beforehand. Perfume, hairspray, cleaning products, lotion and chlorine can damage the gold coating of the ring
💧 Dry your rings thoroughly after exercise or after contact with water, as moisture and sweat can cause the color of the ring to change.

Unfortunately, freshwater pearls can lose their shine when they come into contact with chemicals. To restore the shine, you can use special pearl care cloths or a soft cloth with a little water and a few drops of soap. Mild olive oil can also help to refresh the pearls.

Why does my finger turn dark with brass rings?

Brass can sometimes react with moisture, such as sweat, and cause a dark discoloration on the skin. This reaction is completely natural and harmless.

How can I remove the discoloration?

The discoloration can easily be washed off with water and soap. A gentle rub is enough to clean the skin.

Can I prevent the ring from discoloring my finger?

Yes! You can seal the inside of the ring with clear nail polish. This protects the ring and prevents it from coming into contact with moisture, which helps avoid discoloration.

I really want gold-colored rings, but without discoloring my skin. Which models are suitable for this?

In this case, I recommend the Moon , Forest , and Planet Fidget Ring models. These models are made of a stainless steel core that doesn't stain.

For long-lasting gold-colored rings, I recommend 14ct gold, which is in the higher price range, around €300-€400. This is available as a custom order. Simply contact hi[at]craftycare.de.

My gold ring is turning dark. What is the reason for this? What can I do?

Rings in the color gold consist of a brass core that I have gold-plated thick layer. The durability of the gold plating depends, among other things, on how it is worn. For this reason, I recommend following the care instructions.

If your ring turns dark, this may be a sign that the gold plating has worn off over time. Get your ring replated.

Alternatively, you can clean the ring as follows:

  1. Mix white vinegar and salt with warm water.
  2. Soak a soft cloth in the mixture.
  3. Rub the ring with the cloth.
  4. Rinse the ring with warm water and dry it thoroughly.

You can also use a metal polish such as Elsterglanz with a polishing cloth. You can get this at a DIY or construction store.

Can I get my gold ring replated?

You can have any ring by Crafty Care gold-plated. I use 999 fine gold for replating. Order the gold replating service here: Have your gold ring replated

Ring size

How do I determine my ring size?

Each ring is handmade by me to order. Before completing your order, make sure you select the correct ring size. The right fit is crucial for a comfortable wearing experience and avoids additional costs for resizing.

Measure your finger circumference using a ring measuring tape. You can get a free ring measuring tape from various providers: Get a free ring measuring tape

Which finger is best for wearing the anti-stress ring?

It is best to wear the Anti Stress Ring on a finger that is closest to the movement of picking or nail biting. I prefer to wear the Anti Stress Ring on my index finger because I can play with the beads there. Alternatively, I also like to wear a midi ring on my index finger that sits comfortably between the upper knuckles. Make sure to choose the right size for the midi ring so it doesn't get lost.

Others like to wear the anti-stress ring on their thumb. Choose a position that is most comfortable for you 💜

Are there ring sizes for children?

Yes 😊 I make all rings in all ring sizes. The best way to determine your ring size is to use a special ring measuring tape. You can find more information here: Determining your ring size

What should I do if I am between two ring sizes?

I recommend choosing the larger ring size if you are between two sizes. Your finger may swell slightly throughout the day, especially in warm weather or after prolonged hand movement. A slightly loose fit will ensure that your ring is comfortable to wear at all times.

My middle knuckle is larger than the base of my finger. What ring size should I choose?

If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, adjust the tape measure so that it can just slide over your knuckle.

My ring size isn't there. What can I do?

Ordering and Shipping

Wie viel kostet der Versand?

Can I have my order gift wrapped?

Yes, add the gift wrapping product to your shopping cart. The ring will then be sent in elegant gift packaging 💜

What can I do if my order has not arrived within the expected delivery time?

I'm sorry you have to wait so long. I usually need 1 - 5 working days to make the rings. The rings usually arrive 1 - 3 working days after dispatch.

Rings in gift packaging are sent will arrive 3 - 4 working days after dispatch.

Unfortunately, my experience with Deutsche Post is that shipments only arrive after 8 - 11 working days. Please contact me via email hi[at]craftycare.de if you have not received your order after 11 working days of dispatch. We will find a solution.

What can I do if my order arrives damaged?

In this case, please contact me and send me a photo of the damaged packaging and damaged goods. I will do my best to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. You can reach me via email hi[at]craftycare.de

Can I use another payment method such as bank transfer?

Yes. Select "Prepayment" during the ordering process. You will then receive information about payment via bank transfer.

Can I have my order sent to Austria?

Due to the complex handling of packaging licensing requirements in Austria, I currently do not offer direct shipping to Austria. If this changes, you will find out on my Instagram channel 💜

In the meantime, there is an alternative solution through a package forwarding service such as D-A-Packs or or lieferadresse-deutschland.at. With a package forwarding service, you can have your shipments sent to a German address and then forwarded to Austria.

Kann ich die Anti Stress Ringe vor Ort ansehen und kaufen?

Leider nein. Aktuell habe ich keinen festen Laden vor Ort, da es sich als lokale Künstlerin für mich nicht lohnt.

Returns and Exchanges

How can I return an item?

Returns are possible within 14 days of receipt of the goods. Please note that the item must be unworn and in its original condition. You are responsible for the shipping costs for returns.

I ordered the wrong ring size. Can I exchange the anti-stress ring?

Yes. You can exchange the Anxiety Ring for a different size within 14 days of receiving the goods. Please measure your ring size using the ring measuring tape (version 1)

Please let me know in advance if you would like to exchange your ring by sending an email to hi[at]craftycare.de. There is a flat fee of €9.99 plus shipping costs for adjusting the ring size, as I only make each ring to order: Change your ring size

Ich habe den Anden Fidget Ring in einer Sondergröße und mit weißen Perlen bestellt. Meine Anfrage wegen der Sondergröße und den weißen Perlen wurde sofort beantwortet und war gar kein Problem. Wunderschöne und hilfreiche Ringe
