How do I care for my ring?

Rings in silver are made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is known for its resistance to rust and discoloration.

Rings in gold are gold plated. The durability of the gold coating depends, among other things, on how it is worn.

Here are care instructions for your silver and gold rings:

💛 To keep the gold coating more durable, I also sprayed the ring with acrylic varnish. The intensive movement of the beads creates mechanical friction, which can rub off the gold coating. Just gently roll the beads from top to bottom.

💧 Avoid contact with chemicals and take off the ring beforehand. Perfume, hairspray, detergents, lotion and chlorine can damage the gold plating of the ring.

💧 Dry your rings thoroughly after exercise or if they come into contact with water, as moisture and sweat can cause the ring to change color.

Are the rings waterproof?

The rings in silver are made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is known for its resistance to rust and discoloration. These rings are waterproof and can be worn when washing hands, showering and swimming.

The rings in gold are made of brass which I have gold-plated with 999 fine gold, unless otherwise stated. The durability of the gold plating depends on how it is worn and can wear off over time. This natural process cannot be prevented. If this happens, you can have your ring re-plated for €11.99. For long-lasting gold-colored rings, I recommend 585 gold, which is in a higher price segment, around 150 €.

If you are interested in a ring made of 585 gold, please send me a message to hi@craftycare.de. For gold-plated rings, I recommend taking them off before washing your hands, showering or swimming.
