How it started

The creation of Crafty Care

For several years now, the tingling sensation on my fingers has accompanied me in nervous situations. On my birthday my best friend gave me an anxiety ring. I still remember unpacking it and being really happy.

The ring was more than a gift. He became my constant companion, guiding my wandering fingers whenever trouble arose. Instead of working on my cuticles, my fingers occupied themselves with the moving beads.

Unfortunately one day I lost my ring. I started looking for a replacement that was minimalist and delicate. But in my search I didn't find anyone that matched my expectations.

I decided to design and make my own anxiety rings. Rings that were not only beautiful to look at, but also conveyed a feeling of calm and mindfulness.

Today I am happy that I have not only found relief for myself in the design of these rings, but also offer support to other people in similar situations.

My Journey Into Crafting Rings

Driven by a deep desire for a high-quality anxiety ring, I immersed myself in the art of ring making.

The internet became my compass, guiding me through a sea of knowledge about materials and techniques. I experimented, tested, and gathered valuable experience. Today, it fills me with great joy and pride that each piece I create is crafted by my own hands 😊.

I hope this piece of jewelry brings you peace and mindfulness throughout your day!

A look behind the scenes

My life with skin picking

Skin picking has been a part of my life since childhood. I started scratching my skin early on – first on my face, later on my scalp, back, feet, and now on my cuticles.

For a long time, I thought it was just a strange quirk of mine. Then I discovered by chance that it had a name: skin picking , a form of body-focused repetitive behavior (BFRBs) . I was so relieved to find out I wasn't alone, that many people experience the same thing.

Today , mindfulness, knowledge about skin picking, and various stress-reduction skills help me to deal with it more consciously. One of these skills is my fidget ring . It gives my hands something gentle to do. The fidget ring can be combined with the evidence-based method of Human Reflex Therapy (HRT) from cognitive behavioral therapy.
